NICHOLAS

MACKENZIE

I'll help you better navigate your feelings and build self-compassion

I’m Nicholas "Nick" MacKenzie, a compassionate and dedicated mental health therapist committed to supporting children, teens, and adults on a journey toward healing and personal growth. My approach seeks to understand your unique experience and address those things that matter most to you.

I completed my Bachelor of Social Work degree in Sudbury, Ontario and went on to complete my Master of Social Work degree at UBC in Vancouver, British Columbia. These educational opportunities alongside my experience as a social worker in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings formed the foundation for my current practice; where narrative, cognitive-behavioural, and emotion-focused therapies are at the forefront.

My therapeutic approach is goal-oriented and relies on collaborative goal setting from the first session onward. You can anticipate a warm and inviting environment where we'll look at your thoughts and how they affect your emotions and experience. Throughout treatment, I'll help you better navigate your feelings and build self-compassion.

Whether it be anxiety, depression, feeling like your emotions are "out of control", or simply seeking guidance, I’m here to help uncover the strength within to move forward.

I hope to hear from you soon,

Nick MacKenzie, BSW, MSW, RSW
